Nepal Stock Exchange Revises Trading Schedule After Government Holiday Announcement

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has revised its trading schedule following a recent government holiday announcement, ensuring that market operations align with national policies. Typically, NEPSE halts trading on public holidays declared by the Government of Nepal, with all buying, selling, and settlement activities suspended for the day.

In recent updates, NEPSE has also adjusted its weekly trading structure to maintain a full five-day trading cycle. With the government implementing changes such as a two-day weekend to manage fuel consumption, NEPSE has introduced trading on Fridays to compensate for holidays like Sundays. This shift allows investors to continue participating in the market without losing trading days.

Such schedule revisions highlight NEPSE’s flexibility in adapting to national decisions while ensuring smooth market operations. Investors are advised to stay updated with official notices, as trading days may shift depending on public holidays or policy changes, directly impacting trading strategies and market participation.
