VinFast Partners with AI Firm to Develop ‘Robo-Car’ System

Vietnam’s electric vehicle maker VinFast has announced a new partnership with an artificial intelligence firm to develop a ‘robo-car’ system, marking a major step toward autonomous driving technology. The collaboration aims to integrate advanced AI software into VinFast vehicles to improve automation, safety, and driving efficiency.

According to the company, the robo-car system will focus on features such as self-parking, lane assistance, obstacle detection, and partial autonomous driving. Engineers from both companies are working to combine vehicle hardware with real-time AI decision-making technology.

VinFast said the partnership reflects its long-term strategy to compete in the global electric and smart vehicle market. By investing in AI-driven mobility, the company hopes to attract international customers and strengthen its position in the fast-growing electric vehicle sector.

Industry experts believe the project could accelerate Vietnam’s presence in advanced automotive technology. The companies plan to conduct extensive testing before introducing the system in commercial models, with safety and regulatory approval remaining key priorities.
