Prisoner Who Escaped Chitwan Jail During Gen-Z Protests Arrested in Jhapa
Jhapa, Nov 24:
Police in Jhapa have arrested a prisoner who escaped from the Chitwan prison during the Gen-Z protests on September 8–9.
The detainee, identified as 29-year-old Ashish Subba of Shivasatakshi Municipality-8, was apprehended from his residence on Sunday, according to authorities. Subba had been in custody for investigation in a pangolin trafficking case.
The Area Police Office in Jhiljhile confirmed that Subba will be transferred back to Chitwan prison following his arrest.
