Written and Trial Driving License Exams Resume After Postponement Linked to Gen-Z Protests
KATHMANDU: The Driving License Office in Ekantakuna has announced that the postponed written and trial examinations will resume from tomorrow. The exams had been halted after the EDLVRS system, which manages driving license operations, was disrupted during the Gen-Z protests on September 8 and 9. The resumption comes nearly two months after the suspension.
According to the office, the written exam originally scheduled for September 9 was conducted at 7 a.m. on Monday. Trial exams for categories A, B, and K were also held at 10 a.m.
The office further stated that candidates who could not be reached on September 9 for either the written or trial exams will have another chance to participate. They may contact the office to have their names included in the rescheduled examinations.
Details regarding new online applications for license registration and category additions will be announced later.
