Bodies of Missing Indian Father and Daughter Recovered in Manang
KATHMANDU, Nov 10
The bodies of two Indian nationals who went missing in Manang nearly a month ago have been recovered by the Armed Police Force (APF).
APF personnel discovered the remains of 52-year-old Jigneshkumar Lallubhai Patel and his 17-year-old daughter, Priyansha Kumari Patel, at around 2 PM on Sunday. The pair had been missing since October 18.
According to police, the father and daughter had left Gyalzen Hotel in Ngisyang Rural Municipality-4, informing staff that they were headed to visit the Maleripa Monastery in Ward 5. They lost contact soon after their departure.
Hotel representatives notified the APF’s Mountain Rescue Training School in Manang, prompting an initial search operation. After early efforts yielded no results, a specialized rescue team led by APF Deputy Superintendent Hirabahadur Jisi was redeployed with full equipment on November 9.
Authorities are continuing further investigation into the incident.
