Winter Session of Lumbini Province Assembly Begins Today
LUMBINI, Nov 24: The Winter Session of the Lumbini Province Assembly is set to begin today, with the first meeting of the seventh session scheduled for 1 PM.
According to Province Assembly Secretary Durlav Kumar Punmagar, Speaker Tul Bahadur Gharti will read out three letters from the Office of the Province Chief. These letters concern the convening of the seventh session, the recent reshuffle of the Council of Ministers, and the authentication of bills passed during the sixth session.
Members of the assembly are also expected to deliver statements on behalf of their respective political parties.
Several bills have been registered for consideration in this session, including a proposal to amend the Facilities of District Assembly and District Coordination Committee Act, 2075 BS. Additional bills approved by the Council of Ministers are also set to be presented during this session.
