Thai AirAsia Resumes Flights to Bhairahawa After Six-Month Break
BHAIRAHAWA, Oct 26
Thai AirAsia has restarted its commercial flights to Bhairahawa, resuming operations that were suspended since mid-April.
The airline will operate Bangkok–Bhairahawa–Bangkok flights twice a week, on Sundays and Wednesdays. According to Gautam Buddha International Airport spokesperson Binod Singh Rawat, a Thai AirAsia aircraft landed at the airport at 1:45 PM on Sunday, marking the official resumption of services.
The first inbound flight carried 17 passengers, while the return flight is scheduled to transport 167 passengers back to Bangkok. Airport officials noted that although arrival numbers were modest due to the long service gap, outbound passenger traffic remains strong.
The airline has reported that ticket sales for the resumed flights are performing well, signaling renewed interest in this route.
