Security Forces Intensify Operations Ahead of House of Representatives Elections

Nepal’s security agencies have stepped up nationwide operations to recover looted weapons and track down escaped inmates ahead of the upcoming House of Representatives elections. Authorities said special security mechanisms have been activated in all 77 districts to ensure safe and peaceful polls.

Under the Nepal Election Security Operation plan, coordinated efforts are being carried out by the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force Nepal, and the Nepal Army. The agencies are working jointly to strengthen intelligence gathering, conduct targeted searches, and enhance surveillance in sensitive areas.

Officials stated that the RecoveryOfLootedArmsNepal campaign aims to prevent illegally obtained firearms from being misused during the election period. Security teams have been conducting raids and inspections based on intelligence reports to confiscate unauthorized weapons.

At the same time, the EscapedInmateSearchBeforePolls initiative focuses on locating and apprehending individuals who fled from correctional facilities. Authorities expressed concern that such individuals could pose security risks if not brought into custody before polling day.

Special command centers have been set up at central and district levels to coordinate rapid response efforts. Increased patrols, checkpoints, and monitoring activities are also being carried out, particularly in areas identified as sensitive.

Security officials emphasized that these measures are preventive and designed to maintain law and order during the electoral process. The intensified operations reflect the government’s commitment to ensuring that voters can participate freely and without fear.

With the NepalElectionSecurityOperation now active nationwide, authorities have urged the public to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities. Officials remain confident that the RecoveryOfLootedArmsNepal and EscapedInmateSearchBeforePolls efforts will contribute to a secure and credible election environment.
