Rasuwa Customs Office Collects Rs 1.16 Billion in Revenue
The Rasuwa Customs Office has collected Rs 1.16 billion in revenue during the first six months of the current fiscal year 2082/83 BS. The information was shared by Chief Customs Officer Tulasi Prasad Bhusal.
Officials said the revenue collection shows an improvement compared to the same period last year. Increased trade activities through the Rasuwagadhi border point helped boost customs earnings.
The office mainly collected revenue from imports such as vehicles, machinery, electronics, and other goods coming from China. Customs officials said better monitoring and smoother clearance processes also supported revenue growth.
Authorities are hopeful that revenue collection will further increase in the coming months. They said efforts are being made to improve infrastructure and trade facilitation at the border.
