Over 300,000 Security Personnel Deployed for House of Representatives Election

More than 300,000 security personnel have been mobilized nationwide in preparation for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21. Authorities stated that the large scale deployment aims to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful voting process.

Under the House Of Representatives Election Security Nepal framework, personnel from the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force Nepal, and the Nepal Army have been strategically positioned across districts. The forces will coordinate to secure polling stations, ballot transportation routes, and vote-counting centers.

Officials explained that the Falgun21ElectionDeployment plan was formulated after conducting security assessments of polling locations. Stations categorized as sensitive or highly sensitive will receive additional personnel to prevent potential disturbances.

The MultiAgencyPollSecurityArrangement includes static deployment at polling booths as well as mobile patrol teams to monitor surrounding areas. Command and control centers have also been established at federal, provincial, and district levels to oversee operations and respond swiftly to any incidents.

Authorities emphasized that the security mobilization is preventive in nature. The presence of personnel is intended to create a secure environment for voters, election officials, observers, and media representatives.

Security forces have been instructed to maintain neutrality and act strictly in accordance with election laws. Coordination mechanisms are in place to facilitate communication among different agencies throughout the election period.
