Nicholous Bhusal Arrested in Gorkha for Remarks Against PM and Home Minister

Kathmandu, Nov 4:
Police have arrested Nicholous Bhusal from Gorkha Municipality-8, Saraswati Ashram, for allegedly making derogatory and violent remarks against top government officials, including the Prime Minister and Home Minister.

A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office carried out the arrest on Tuesday and is preparing to bring Bhusal to Kathmandu for further legal action.

According to police sources, Bhusal had been under surveillance after repeatedly posting inflammatory statements on social media targeting political leaders. His recent comments named Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah, drawing widespread criticism.

He also made derogatory remarks against former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.

Earlier on Saturday, Bhusal held a press conference at Sambad Dabali, where he accused former PM Oli and then-Home Minister Lekhak of bearing responsibility for the September 8 “Gen Z” protest deaths, in which 19 people were reportedly killed during police firing. He alleged that both leaders had direct involvement in the incident.

Police officials have stated that investigations are ongoing and Bhusal will face appropriate legal proceedings upon his arrival in Kathmandu.
