Massive Fire Destroys Soap Factory Warehouse in Hetauda Industrial Area

A massive fire has destroyed a soap factory warehouse in the Hetauda Industrial Area, causing heavy property damage, officials said on Tuesday. The fire broke out in the early hours of the day and quickly spread through the warehouse, which stored large quantities of raw materials and finished products.

Firefighters from Hetauda and nearby areas rushed to the scene and worked for several hours to bring the blaze under control. No human casualties have been reported so far, but the fire caused significant financial losses to the factory. Thick smoke and flames were visible from a long distance, creating panic among nearby workers and residents.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit, though the exact cause is yet to be confirmed. Police and fire officials are continuing their investigation to assess the extent of the damage and identify the source of the blaze.

Local authorities have emphasized the need for improved fire safety measures in industrial zones to prevent similar incidents in the future. The incident has once again raised concerns about safety standards in factories operating in industrial areas across Nepal.
