Gyanodaya School Gets New Computer Lab from Pakistan: Boosting Digital Education

A major boost in digital education has come to Gyanodaya Secondary School in Bafal, Kathmandu. Recently, the Embassy of Pakistan officially handed over a brand-new computer laboratory to the school, enhancing its capacity to deliver modern ICT education.

New Facilities That Empower Students

The new lab is equipped with dozens of computers, along with upgraded furniture and flooring. It’s designed to serve students in the higher classes, enabling them to learn computer skills and digital literacy tools increasingly essential in today’s world.
Meanwhile, the previous lab which served the higher grades  has now been refurbished and repurposed to support primary-level students. This means younger children will also start benefiting from early access to digital learning tools.

Strengthening Education Through Collaboration

This handover reflects a broader commitment from the Embassy of Pakistan to support education and cultural cooperation in Nepal. Beyond ICT, the support is expected to expand to music and sports activities as part of a push to foster holistic development.
At the inauguration event, dignitaries emphasized the importance of embracing modern education including ICT, innovation, and emerging fields like artificial intelligence and fintech while preserving cultural heritage.

What This Means for Gyanodaya and Beyond

With improved access to computers and digital resources, students at Gyanodaya are better positioned to learn essential 21st-century skills. This can help them in higher studies, technical courses, or future careers. More broadly, the initiative underlines how international cooperation can support educational growth in Nepal.

In a time when technology is reshaping education globally, such investments help bridge gaps in resources especially in public or community-based schools. With this upgrade, Gyanodaya stands out as an example of how collaboration and infrastructure improvements can uplift academic quality across generations.
