Dahal Pledges to Develop Former People’s War Base Areas

Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal has pledged to speed up development in former People’s War base areas. Speaking in Rukum Purba, Dahal said fast development of the district is his top priority.

He said many areas that played an important role during the People’s War still lack basic facilities such as roads, health services, and jobs. Dahal stressed that development must reach these remote regions.

Dahal also said the government and party will work to improve living standards and create opportunities for local people. He promised better infrastructure and support for agriculture and education.

Local residents welcomed the statement but said they hope the promises will be turned into real action. The visit has increased political activity in the district.
