Armed Police Arrest Two Indian Nationals with Fake Currency in Rautahat
The Armed Police Force (APF), Nepal, has arrested two Indian nationals from a border area in Rautahat with counterfeit Indian currency. The arrest was made during a routine check by a team deployed from a local APF check post.
According to police, the suspects were found carrying fake Indian notes while attempting to move through the border area. The seized currency was confirmed to be counterfeit during initial inspection.
The arrested individuals have been taken into custody for further investigation. Police are trying to find out where the fake currency came from and whether others are involved in the case.
Security agencies have increased surveillance in border areas to control illegal activities. Officials warned that strict action will be taken against anyone involved in fake currency trade.
