Iran Intensifies Attacks on UAE Targets Amid Ongoing Conflict

Iran has intensified its military attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates amid its ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel. The escalation includes a large number of missile and drone strikes aimed at strategic and economic locations across the Gulf region.

According to available data, since late February 2026, Iran has launched hundreds of ballistic missiles and more than a thousand drones toward the UAE as part of its retaliatory operations. Reports indicate that by mid-March, the number of projectiles had crossed 300 missiles and over 1,600 drones in total.

Many of these attacks have targeted key infrastructure, including airports, oil-related facilities, and urban areas. A recent drone strike near Dubai’s international airport caused disruption to flights and highlighted the growing risks to civilian infrastructure in the region.

Despite the scale of attacks, the UAE’s advanced air defense systems have intercepted a large portion of incoming missiles and drones, reducing the level of direct damage. However, falling debris and occasional impacts have still caused casualties and property damage in cities like Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The escalation is part of a broader regional conflict triggered after joint U.S. and Israeli military actions against Iran. In response, Iran has adopted a strategy of targeting U.S. interests and allied locations across the Gulf, including countries hosting American military bases.

Experts warn that the IranUAEMissileAttacks could further destabilize the Middle East, disrupt global oil supplies, and increase risks to international trade routes, especially around the Strait of Hormuz. The situation remains highly volatile, with ongoing military actions and limited progress toward diplomatic resolution.
